The Industrial Laboratories Company, Inc. is a busy and growing analytical testing laboratory located in Denver, CO. Industrial Laboratories services a wide spectrum of industries with an emphasis on anti-doping analysis tailored for performance sports animals, with a primary focus on racehorses. The laboratory holds ISO/IEC 17025 certification, ensuring the delivery of precise forensic toxicology results to a diverse clientele. To support our continued growth, we are seeking a highly qualified Human Resources Manager.
Function:
The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HR department and ensuring compliance with employment labor laws for over 50 employees. This is a senior leadership role that requires strong verbal and written communication, strategic thinking, budgeting, and process improvement skills.
Duties:
· Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment labor laws.
· Manage the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing candidates, facilitating and conducting interviews, and advising and assisting in making hiring decisions.
· Oversee employee onboarding and orientation programs.
· Oversee and work with PEO, if appropriate, regarding Employee termination/transition and exit interview process.
· Conduct, facilitate, and/or help facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
· Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, workers compensation, and retirement plans.
o Manage open enrollment process.
o Review and consider other employee benefit programs.
· Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
· Work with employees on Leaves of Absence, FAMLI, FMLA ensuring that all applicable laws are followed, and employees are advised/supported accordingly.
· Work with managers and QA to develop effective and accurate job descriptions and job postings.
· Provide training to managers on screening, interviewing skills and allowable topics.
· Implement and facilitate performance management systems to drive employee engagement and productivity.
· Ensure accurate recordkeeping of employee information.
· Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
· Create, monitor, and update HR metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
· Assist with and if necessary, manage department and company outing planning, facilitation, and communication of events.
· Administer and facilitate Employee Recognition Program
· Lead and facilitate employee compensation and bonus plan to include comparison against current and national market rates.
· Provide other creative ideas for other unique compensation incentives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or SHRM Certification
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources management role
- Strong knowledge of employment labor laws and regulations
- Proven experience in budgeting and financial management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement initiatives
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
