Human Resources Generalist ? Training Specialist

The HR Generalist?s (HRG) primary responsibility is to support the Human Resources functions within XP Synergy Companies and all other associated brands. This position is critical to the success of talent recruitment, development, retention, and growth. The HRG works with and under the direction of the HR Manager and HR Lead / TED Specialist to support comprehensive functions including recruitment and hiring of employees, records retention, HRMS, new employee orientation and onboarding support, maintaining employee information, utilization and benefits activities, general HR duties, assisting with general operational duties, and clerical or administrative tasks as directed by supervision. This position supports the training and employee development unit within XP Synergy, specifically the Team Development Institute (TDI). The HRG upholds the organization's strength-based philosophy with a service mindset in all interactions with key stakeholders, including team members, vendors, and other community partners.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related fields from accredited university is preferred with a minimum of 1 year of proven HR related experience OR
  • Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related fields from an accredited educational facility with a minimum of 2 years of proven HR related experience will be accepted
  • At least six (6) months ? one (1) year of experience in the field of Instructional Design preferred
  • Well versed in general HR policies and procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows based computer application and database management.
  • Must be flexible / adaptable to change within work scope
  • Must have reliable transportation

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Researches, develops, and maintains the human resources records management system for the training unit; including the electronic records information system, records inventories and classifying and indexing documents.
  • Assists with facilitating TDI training courses virtual and in person.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
  • Maintain XP Works files in Teams.
  • Follow established policies and procedures, federal, state and local laws and regulations for maintaining company compliance and standards.
  • Assists higher-level human resources personnel/supervisor with special projects and in verifying and proofing reports for accuracy.
  • Ensure all new hire documentation is completed to established standards and work with hiring managers to clear up any discrepancies.
  • Post new positions through Paychex, review applicant resumes, schedule interviews and conduct first level interviews.
  • Ensure all pre-employment testing/screening and verifications are completed.
  • Review and ensure I-9s are accurately completed. Monitor and process I-9 re-verification requests
  • Assist with processing VR3455 authorization requests and terminations to TWC with required documentation and maintain updated records.
  • Enter employment hiring / separations into State labor/workforce websites for unemployment purposes, respond to unemployment claims and coordinate unemployment hearings with Direct Supervisor.
  • Respond to employment verifications.
  • Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Assist with the functions of on-boarding and off-boarding employees
  • Ensure employee files are updated and maintained in a secure manor
  • Some travel required between multiple offices
