POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Generalist administers all areas of HR programs and policies, ensuring that all processes are executed appropriately and in a timely manner. The HR Generalist performs all transactional duties in relation to Team Member Services including but not limited to onboarding, workers compensation, compliance, employee relations, leaves of absences, unemployment claims, training, investigations, benefits, and employee change management. This role will be in charge of the education of all team members regarding the use of team member services, as well as maintaining all records related to the use of the company’s team member services. This role reports directly to the Team Member Services Manager and assists with any other aspects of the Team Member Services department and/or any other Company priorities as outlined by the Executive Team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute team member services including but not limited to onboarding, compensation, leave of absence; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; recognition; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, retention, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
  • Administer and process claims for workers' compensation, unemployment, disability and leaves of absence.
  • Investigates escalated employee relations problems and according to circumstances, provides guidance and recommendations for problem resolution to operations managers.
  • Administers payroll requests and processes payroll when needed as a back up to the payroll department.
  • Respond to employee questions, investigate and resolve issues and ensure proper administration of benefits.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Inform team members of on-going changes to the benefits structure and policies.
  • Resolve team member issues with insurance providers and other benefits vendors.
  • Consult with team members regularly regarding team member benefit education and proper usage.
  • Assist Benefits Specialist to process benefits enrollments quickly and accurately.
  • Assist in the execution of approved changes and process improvements regarding team member benefits

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field strongly preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in Human Resources
  • Familiarity with California state labor laws and requirements a plus
  • Familiarity with payroll and HRIS software systems (ADP WFN preferred)
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
  • Familiarity with the Hospitality industry preferred

Scheduled hours vary by training and recruitment needs, including necessary adjustments made during high and low seasonal changes. Travel up to 20% between Westminster office and Denver Airport. Weekly, candidates should expect to work 45-50 hours a week potentially including late nights, weekends and holidays. We are a 24/7, 365 day operation. The successful candidate must be able to pass a background check with our company, with the TSA, a drug screen, and be insurable with a valid driver’s license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $57,500.00 - $70,000.00 per year
