ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties. The following are the necessary duties to be performed:

● Reports to HR Manager

● Ensures compliance with human resources related policies; all applicable federal, state and local employment laws and regulations including EEO and FLSA

● Administers benefit program to include health, dental, vision, life insurance and any other benefits for employees and conducts open enrollment.

● Updates FMLA and LOA spreadsheets for staff on leave and administers return to work procedures including benefits payments while on leave.

● Schedules pre-employment physicals; background checks including Live Scan.

● Maintains monthly Turnover Report

● Responsible for bi-monthly audit of staff attendance and generating emails to staff for excessive absences.

● Must be able to meet the attendance requirements of the position.

● Process and send time cards for temporary staff for the different agencies weekly.

● Has understanding of payroll guidelines and required regulations for processing payroll.

● Coordinates recruitment activities, and works with temporary agencies in hiring candidates for open positions and conducts new hire orientations.

REQUIREMENTS:

Five (5) years’ experience in the human resources field; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in human resources management, business management or closely related field. Proficient in reading, writing and math skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and other human resources software programs. Valid California driver’s license and driving record acceptable to insurance companies.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Office environment. Works well under pressure of deadlines. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Duties and responsibilities performed normally do require physical requirements including standing, walking, bending, squatting, and carrying, pushing, pulling and occasional lifting of material up to 30 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
