Job Summary: The Human Resource Generalist will assist with onboarding and interviewing candidates, assisting with benefits and leave, as well as enforcing company policies and practices.

Duties/Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Assists with interviews and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Assists with new hire orientation.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave, training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish is a requirement*

Education and Experience:

High school degree

At least one year of human resource generalist experience preferred.


Physical Demands:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.


Work Environment:

This position requires the successful candidate to work in the office full time Monday – Friday 8am-5pm (flexible).

Frequent sitting for prolonged periods while operating telephone system and computer; intermittently twisting and reaching to operate other equipment and access resource materials.

Employees may be exposed to hand, power and noise producing tools and equipment and the noise level in the work environment may be loud.
