Requirements:
-
Associate or Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
-
At least 2 years of employment in a Human Resources position with experience in recruitment

Preferred experience in healthcare setting

Effective communication including verbal, written, and presentation to varied audiences

Ability to manage multiple priorities and timely outcomes
-
Must be technologically fluent and able to exhibit extensive knowledge and understanding of Human Resources laws

Must have valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance. Must be able to travel between locations (local).

Ability to be flexible due to potential of unknowns and rapidly shifting priorities
-
PHR or SHRM-CP current certification preferred.

SUMMARY OF POSITION
In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Human Resources Generalist’s primary focus will be to support the Human Resources function and the overall department so that it meets both the needs of the business and our employees. This role will act as a partner to provide innovative solutions to facilitate organizational growth. This role will also create and implement talent management strategies around acquisition, development and retention of our employees and support other HR and Organizational goals.
Essential Functions:

Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding: Support hiring managers in staffing, sourcing and selection process as well as onboarding which includes new hire orientations and assisting with stay interviews

HR Policies/Procedures: Administer human resources plan, procedures and policies; assist in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain employee handbook, policies, procedures. Coordinate employee communication to promote employee understanding of programs, policies, and objectives.

Employee Relations: Counsel and coach supervisory personnel on employee relation matters, including employee discipline and resolution. Assist internal and external contacts in a positive and professional manner, answering questions or guiding them to the appropriate contact or resource. May conduct investigations and works with supervisors to guide their efforts developing and communication with their staff.

Engagement and Retention: Create, organize, administer and maintain employee engagement activities. Conduct stay and exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations

Recording Keeping: Establish and maintain adequate personnel records for past and present employees.
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
- Training: Assists in HR Training for organizational-wide supervisors and other HR related trainings and developmental programs
- Perform other related duties and required and assigned.
