Position Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. The individual will be exposed to sensitive and confidential information, which requires a high degree of confidentiality.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day efficient operation of the Human Resources Department.
- Organizes and conducts new hire orientation to familiarize new hires with agency operations and culture.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Coordinates new hire procedures including creating offer letters, preparing new employee files, and assists with new-employee background checks.
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
- Completes e-verification process.
- Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
- Assists with processing of terminations.
- Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
- Assists with recruitment and interview process.
- Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the Director of HR.
- Assists with the administration of health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
- Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
- Files documents into appropriate employee files.
- Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
- Processes mail.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education
- Associate degree in Human Resources or related field bachelor’s degree preferred.
