The HR Consultant services our current and future clients by answering questions and advising in areas of leave management, management of employee-focused policies, new employee onboarding, and employee engagement and employee relations with a focus on best practices. The HR Consultant assists the Senior HR Consultant in supporting clients by providing proactive and reactive HR and Compliance assistance based on the prescribed engagement arrangement with our client.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the client group by responding to HR related questions in a timely manner
  • Support the client’s full employee life cycle policies and processes by providing best practices in the following areas:
  • Talent Acquisition including employer brand and recruitment marketing
  • Onboarding
  • Employee relations- issues and concerns
  • Employee engagement
  • Performance Management & Discipline
  • Termination/Offboarding
  • Learning and Development
  • Total Rewards
  • Leave and Absence Management
  • Strategic HR Business plan
  • HR and Compliance projects
  • General compliance
  • Data entry and maintenance of the clients
  • Create client HR trainings
  • Manage and track FMLA, PFML, Short-term disability, ADA, and other leaves of absence
  • Partner with clients to proactively address and resolve employee relations issues
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Proven ability to work with individuals effectively and respectfully at varying levels within an organization; demonstrated skill in building constructive relationships

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Strong ability and desire to influence outcomes
  • Curious learner: always pushing self to broaden perspective and learn from others
  • Generates new ideas to improve processes and efficiency
  • Ability to always maintain a high level of confidentiality and comfortable handling confidential information
  • Hands-on experience and high proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint),
  • Remote position with expectation to be available for regular client visits and their location and on-site in Kingston, MA office a minimum of once per quarter
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • 2-4 years of experience in a dedicated HR generalist role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources management, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Multiple Payroll/HRIS systems
