Job Title: Human Resources Administrator

Purpose of the Position: To run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department. Doing so will ensure that the company is in compliance with employee related laws and policies; as well as promote a positive work atmosphere and employee productivity.

Scope

The HR Administrator will report to the Chief Development Officer. (S)he is responsible for ensuring that all federal and state laws are followed as it relates to employees of the company. This will be accomplished by working with the Chief Development Officer in developing, writing and implementing policies and procedures. (S)he is responsible for executing the hiring process of corporate employees. This includes keeping accurate employee records in a variety of databases and spreadsheets. This includes tracking real estate association memberships of licensed agents. (S)he is responsible for maintaining current employee benefits annually. The HR Administrator provides upper management feedback and support on employment needs such as training and performance related matters. This position also manages all employee benefits offered by the company in conjunction with the Chief Development Officer.

The HR Administrator will collaborate closely with the Agent Development Director to assess incoming salesperson applications and conduct preliminary interviews. They will actively engage with the Development Director to explore innovative strategies for marketing and fostering growth in new states and regions.

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintains all employee records and filing both physically and electronically.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions at the corporate office; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Assist with real estate agent license tracking and orientation onboarding
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate management.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Manages the Annual Employee Evaluation process.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation

  • We offer a competitive compensation package in line with industry standards and based on experience. The starting salary for this position is $50,000, with the potential for higher compensation based on qualifications and experience.
