We're looking for a growth-centric Human Resources Administrative Assistant to help us achieve our mission of becoming the best. This position is onsite at our Texas Headquarters.

The Human Resources Administrative Assistant performs more than administrative tasks; they are often the VP of HR’s “right-hand person” who enables them to advance company initiatives and goals. They attend to the day-to-day functions that are part of Human Resources so that the VP can focus on the high-level leadership and strategy functions. This includes maintaining employee records, benefits administration, assisting with the recruiting process, and finding creative ways to create and maintain a growth-centric company culture.

This role will offer an opportunity for someone with the right work ethic and passion for HR to develop their skills and grow into a well-rounded HR Generalist.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support to VP of HR. This may include coordinating meetings, word processing, etc.
  • Provide office management support at the Texas Headquarters, such as greeting visitors, sorting mail, coordinating orders and deliveries, etc.
  • Help monitor various Human Resources functions
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters
  • Maintain accurate HR records and databases, including personnel files, benefits plans, and HRIS data entry; maintain complete, accurate filing system to facilitate immediate document retrieval
  • Assist with benefits administration tasks, such as enrollment processing, eligibility verification, and resolving benefits-related inquiries
  • Help maintain organizational charts and detailed job descriptions
  • Help implement HR policies throughout the organization
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits, providing guidance and assistance as needed in a timely manner
  • Monitor, evaluate, and help resolve HR related problems or questions
  • Assist in the recruiting process, including job postings, screening resumes, and conducting prescreen interviews
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding activities, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees
  • Prepare and distribute HR-related correspondence, such as offer letters, employment verifications, etc.
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Assist in updates to Employee Handbook
  • Assist in HR projects and initiatives, such as performance management, employee engagement surveys, employee recognition/celebration, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma; bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred
  • Prior experience with HR duties required
  • Prior experience as an administrative assistant or office manager required
  • Must have strong customer service/people skills and passion for learning
  • Must have a positive attitude and professional appearance and mannerism
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and privacy
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized self-starter who can work independently
  • Strong proactive planning skills and attention to detail
  • Ability, flexibility and adaptability to manage multiple and ever-changing priorities, processes, and deadlines
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all team members and vendors
  • Ability to manage difficult situations with diplomacy in a professional manner and possess a high degree of integrity
  • Strong proactive problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is a must; payroll experience is a plus

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
