Assignment Description:

In the restaurant setting, this position reports directly to the Head of Human Resources, People, and Culture of Real Fruit Bubble Tea, Group of Companies. The Human Resources Manager of RFBT-USA serves as one of the cornerstones of our daily restaurant operations, responsible for cultivating a top-performing team. This role oversees essential administrative and operation functions crucial for the seamless running of our restaurants in the United States. It requires a strategic approach to talent development and management, ensuring alignment with our service goals. Ultimately, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the USA restaurants’ success through effective leadership and team development, fostering a culture of excellence and achievement.

Oversee HR Initiatives and Systems:

· Supervise all HR activities and systems within the restaurant, ensuring they align with the establishment's goals and standards.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to restaurant staff, facilitating continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Coordinate recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees, to maintain optimal staffing levels and uphold service standards in the restaurant industry.

Develop Comprehensive HR Plans:

  • Formulate tailored HR strategies encompassing compensation structures, benefits packages, and health and safety protocols specific to the restaurant industry's demands.
  • Develop comprehensive plans for talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning, aligning with the unique staffing requirements and growth objectives of the restaurant.
  • Implement initiatives to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, fostering a safe and supportive work environment conducive to employee well-being and operational excellence.

Ensure Legal Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Oversee adherence to federal and state HR regulations within the restaurant setting, managing investigations, addressing grievances, and implementing disciplinary measures as needed to minimize legal exposure.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws specific to the restaurant industry, safeguarding against potential legal risks and liabilities.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to verify compliance with labor laws and industry regulations, proactively identifying and addressing any areas of concern within the restaurant's HR practices.

People and Culture Management:

  • Act as the main liaison for employee relations in all our USA restaurants, facilitating open communication channels between staff and upper management to resolve issues and uphold a positive workplace atmosphere.
  • Establish protocols for addressing employee concerns, promoting transparency and trust among quick service restaurant team members and leadership.
  • Implement strategies to promote teamwork and collaboration, fostering a supportive environment where employees feel valued and respected in the fast-paced setting of a quick service restaurant.
  • Deploy strategies for performance assessments, staffing optimization, and tailored training programs to boost employee engagement and job satisfaction in the dynamic restaurant environment.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth through targeted development initiatives and mentorship programs designed to empower restaurant staff members.
  • Implement effective feedback mechanisms and recognition systems to acknowledge and support the well-being and progress of restaurant employees, ensuring a motivated and cohesive team.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere in the quick service restaurant, nurturing a culture of support, teamwork, and respect to enhance employee well-being and job satisfaction.
  • Implement initiatives to promote collaboration and camaraderie among quick service restaurant staff, creating a motivating environment conducive to high productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Encourage open communication and feedback channels to ensure that all team members feel valued and empowered to contribute to the success of the quick service restaurant.

Maintain HR Policies and Procedures:

  • Continuously review and refine HR policies and procedures to align with the evolving needs of the restaurant industry and the establishment's strategic direction.
  • Recommend updates and revisions to HR protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations while supporting the unique operational requirements of the restaurant.
  • Implement effective communication channels and training programs to ensure all restaurant staff members are well-informed and compliant with updated HR policies and procedures.

Support Operational Needs:

  • Provide weekly on-floor support to quick service restaurant operations, ensuring HR functions are tailored to meet the specific needs of the establishment and contribute to its operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with store management to integrate HR practices seamlessly into the day-to-day operations of the quick service restaurant, aligning them with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Implement HR strategies that support quick service restaurant operations, fostering a workforce capable of delivering exceptional service and driving overall success.

Expectation of Successful Candidate

  • BSc/BA in human resources, business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA in human resources will be a plus
  • 5+ years experience in an HR position in a chain business
  • 3+ years experience in an HR leadership position in a chain business
  • Strong understanding of the recruitment and selection, compensation and benefit, training and performance evaluation, health and safety, labour relations, and other HR functions
  • Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations
  • Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices
  • A business acumen partnered with attention to the human element
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • SHRM membership is an asset
  • Working in the store operations on a weekly basis is required for this position

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
