Human Resources Generalist
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist specializing in Employee Relations and Leave Administration to join our dynamic HR team. The primary responsibility of this role will be to oversee employee relations matters and manage leave administration processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. The HR Generalist will also provide HR support and collaborate closely with the Director of Human Resources to maintain a positive work environment and support the needs of our diverse workforce.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints or concerns, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote positive employee relations and foster a culture of open communication and collaboration.
- Manage all aspects of leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and other medical or personal leaves.
- Coordinate leave requests, including intake, documentation, and tracking of leave usage.
- Communicate effectively with employees, managers, and external partners to ensure compliance with leave policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to employee leaves and accommodations.
- Assist with various HR functions, including recruitment, benefits administrations, onboarding, performance management, and HRIS data management.
- Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement HR initiatives and programs aimed at enhancing employee engagement and retention.
- Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations and ensure organizational compliance.
- Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.

Preferred Skills / Abilities:
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and other relevant statutes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience, with a focus on employee relations and leave administration.
