Our client, a national energy company, is seeking an “HRIS Specialist”. The role is a subject matter expert on ADP Workforce Now supporting Payroll and People Excellence in innovating service delivery to internal customers, demonstrating commitment to excellence.

The role will configure and implement functional ADP modules with a project team and ADP resources. The HRIS specialist will develop processes and workflows to ensure data integrity, processing, reporting of data, and user support for integrated HRIS solutions. The role will also serve as a liaison between People Excellence, Digital Sotions, Payroll and external vendor(s).

Responsibilities:

  • Creates and maintains HRIS user profiles while ensuring security integrity
  • Liaises with People Excellence Business Partners, Payroll, and external vendors to ensure system integrity
  • Audits, confirms accuracy and integrity of data entered, and reports any discrepancies, maintains HRIS position data and assures information is available on a timely basis
  • Performs data updates, exports, imports, conduct research, and prepares reports as required
  • Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to People Excellence and Payroll users and employees
  • Delivers routine daily/weekly/monthly reporting and responds to ad hoc data requests from stakeholders
  • Prepares reports, graphs, charts, and performs statistical analysis in support of People Excellence functions
  • Works with People Excellence leadership to develop and report on key HR performance measures and indicators
  • Implements, maintains, and updates the HRIS and other portals, applications, and documents/forms to meet business and technology requirements
  • Oversees all system upgrades and system additions in partnership with Payroll and Digital Solutions
  • Implement benefits rate changes, as required

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years HR generalist experience in a unionized environment
  • 3-5 years experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN) and solutions such as Workday, Peoplesoft, and Jobvite
  • 3-5 years experience as a subject matter expert in HR information systems
  • 2-3 years of Compensation, Performance Management, and Applicant Tracking Systems knowledge and experience would be an asset
  • Experience and knowledge of the Web environment using application such as HTML, Flash, and JavaScript
  • University degree or college diploma in Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent education and or experience
  • Proficiency working with large datasets using Excel and other reporting tools
  • Must possess solid technical and analytical skills, and experience utilizing and analyzing large employee data sets
  • Solid knowledge of employment legislation and Total Rewards programs and processes
  • Proficient knowledge of Provincial and Federal employment legislations
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft suite of products, Excel (with the focus on building cost models and reports), Word, PowerPoint, etc.

The indicated pay range for this position is a good-faith estimate based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Additionally, it is emphasized that the pay band mentioned herein is the one established by the client company. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work. Most candidates will start at the bottom half of the pay range, with the upper end reserved for candidates with extensive experience and skills and who live in geographic markets commanding a higher starting pay. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
