HR SPECIALIST

Seeking an HR Specialist for a high volume, fast paced team environment. Ability to make independent decisions using sound judgment and strong attention to detail is a must to be effective in this position.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills. This position will support the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions, to include payroll, benefits administration, recruitment & employee relations. Works under minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process New hire onboarding and entering new hire data.
  • Process benefit enrollments, changes and terminations.
  • Process bi-weekly payrolls in accordance with all Wage and Hour Laws.
  • Reconciles benefit statements and other HR related invoices.
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions by phone and by email.
  • Responding and maintaining the HR Department’s general email inbox.
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
  • Coordinate Travel arrangements for employees as needed.
  • Update and reconcile vacation and sick pay benefits.
  • Maintain and files sensitive employee records; prepares new-employee files; periodically reviews and purges files in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines.
  • Prepares scheduled and ad hoc reports as required.
  • Participates in special projects as assigned.
  • Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other general office functions as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of recent Human Resources experience
  • ADP Workforce Now experience preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office – Intermediate to advance Excel skills required
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with business unit leaders
  • Ability to communicate effectively on a written and verbal basis to various levels of internal/external personnel
  • Attention to detail – very organized
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
