Sentara Health is hiring an HR Representative for the Pre-Boarding team!

This is a full-time position with day shift hours and excellent benefits!

The position is located in VA with a REMOTE opportunity – work from home is available only in these states:

Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington state, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree Preferred. Bachelors or Associates Degree requires 1 or more years of Human Resources and/or customer support experience.

  • No degree requires 3 or more years of Human Resources experience and/or customer support.

  • Basic knowledge of HR Solutions and HR Shared Services experience preferred.

  • Experience with the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The HR Representative t is a crucial member of the Human Resources department, responsible for managing HR functions and providing support using the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system.
  • Delivers service professionally and efficiently, providing prompt assistance while managing expectations to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Provides real-time, accurate, and comprehensive responses to telephone and written inquiries regarding general HR-related issues, policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Escalates complex issues, where applicable.
  • Processes employee-related transactions accurately based on research, employee-specific information, and process guidelines.
  • Maintains appropriate documentation and records for HR-related cases in the HR Help Desk.

Additional duties include:

  • Support the end-to-end employee processes within Workday, including internal & external customers around recruitment, onboarding, transfers, and promotions.
  • Collaborate with HR team members to ensure a seamless employee experience throughout the pre-boarding/onboarding processes.
  • Implement and enforce HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency within the pre-boarding processes.
  • Able to navigate multiple system platforms and work in a highly fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience working in an HR role with hands-on experience using Workday or a similar HRIS platform.
  • In-depth understanding of HR principles, policies, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with utmost discretion.

For applicants within Washington State, the following hiring range will be applied: $16.80(hourly) to $25.96(hourly).
