Human Resources Manager

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to plan, manage, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, to strive for excellence in the HR department. The Human Resources Manager will partner with our management to ensure that all HR needs of the company are being met and are aligned with all business objectives.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Ensure HR initiatives and strategies support and enhance the attainment of company business goals, objectives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, obtaining qualified opinions as needed, enforcing internal adherence to requirements, and providing timely guidance to executive management on needed actions.
- Research, review, draft, implement and/or amend HR-related policies and procedures and advise on potential implications from non-compliance with such policies and procedures.
- Implementation of HR projects within the company.
- Assist in compliance with regulations governing benefit plans.
- Assist and oversee the investigation of employee related matters (e.g., harassment, discrimination, leave, workers’ compensation).
- Anticipate and resolve litigation risks
- Provide leadership to team members in operational, day-to-day functionality and HR transactions such as employee relations and investigations, HR policy and procedures, benefits administration, staffing and performance management.
- Design, implement and maintain a positive employee relations culture.
- Coordinate training programs to refine and grow people management capabilities.
- Provide guidance to management in all areas of performance management to include goal and objective setting, performance reviews, individual development, performance improvement and corrective action plans.
- Meet with brokers and/or vendors and compiles reports on cost and effectiveness of programs, and relays the findings to executive management.
- Provide leadership with strategic HR related solutions to achieve defined business goals as well as various reporting by analyzing data and using HR metrics.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned or required by business need.
- Proof of US Citizenship and/or authorized to work in the US. Due to the nature of our work, United States Citizenship, is required.
Job Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices.
- A business acumen partnered with attention to the human element.
- Working knowledge of current employment law e.g., FMLA, FLSA, ERISA, ADA etc.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
- Ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality due to sensitive nature of position.
- Seven (7) or more years of progressive HR experience.
- Five years of demonstrated leadership experience.
- Degree in Human Resources or related field is required.
