Position Overview:
The People Services Generalist is a key member of the People Services department responsible for providing comprehensive people support to a WorldSprings location. This role plays a vital part in providing people support across various functions, including full-cycle recruitment, pre-employment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management and execution of people strategies, policies, and initiatives. A large part of the role will revolve around Talent Acquisition: identifying, attracting, screening, interviewing, selecting, hiring, and onboarding employees. The People Services Generalist is expected to contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture, and actively engage with team members and managers on people-related matters.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
Talent Acquisition/Recruitment:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking, and employee referrals.
- Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and assess candidate qualifications to ensure a strong fit for the organization.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers.
- Extend job offers and negotiate terms of employment.
- Manage the candidate’s experience and provide timely communication throughout the recruitment process.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, and interviewing.
- Facilitate new employee onboarding and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure adherence to company policy and relevant labor laws by addressing and resolving workplace issues.
Talent Development:
- Collaborate with department managers to identify training and development needs.
- Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of training programs and initiatives.
- Promote continuous learning and professional growth.
Performance Management:
- Administer performance appraisal processes and provide guidance to managers and employees.
- Participate in performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions, as needed.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Stay up-to-date with labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices to ensure company compliance.
- Maintain accurate HR records, prepare reports.
- Assist in HR audits and maintain a strong understanding of HR best practices.
Benefits Administration:
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, and leave policies.
- Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and collaborate with benefit providers.
- Provide support during open enrollment and new hire enrollment.
General Duties:
- Collaborate with the People Services Director to facilitate all necessary tasks.
- May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- 3 - 5 year of human resource/people services management experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP or PHR is a plus.
