TAZ Trucking is a professional family-owned business located in the TAZ Business Center. We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various HR functions, including general compliance, benefits programs, and training development. Duties:
- Research, analyze, and administer healthcare plans and wellness programs, from medical and dental benefits to disability and family leave
- Coordinate non-salary employee compensation like retirement plans
- Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments and assist with open enrollment process
- Run reports and perform quality checks of benefits-related data; coordinate with Payroll/Accounting
- Administer the worker's compensation program, managing recording and claims, regulatory compliance, and investigations
- Drive a training development project to further develop internal training manuals; interact effectively with all departments to capture data
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
- Participate in employee orientation
- Assist with workplace conflicts and disciplinary issues as needed
- Assist in employment and onboarding as needed
- Assist HR Director as needed
Ideal Candidate:
- Working thorough knowledge of HR and Benefits laws and regulations
- Expertise in FMLA, ADA, Worker's Compensation
- Highly effective research and analytical skills
- Proficient in investigative and evaluation techniques
- Highly skilled in written and verbal communication
- Ability to break down operational information into step by step instructions
- Experienced and skilled at handling situations professionally
- Excellent project and case management skills
- Proficient computer skills; ability to learn a new system quickly
- Adaptable to changing priorities within a fast paced work environment
- High personal and professional ethical standards
- Uncompromising confidentiality of data, both physically and verbally
