POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Generalist (Senior Level)
Strongarm Designs provides the ideal HMI solution to the healthcare, bio-pharmaceutical, food, and manufacturing industries. We are diligently seeking to hire a candidate for Senior Human Resources Generalist to become a member of our HR Department serving over 100 employees. This position is located at our Horsham, PA engineering design, electronics assembly, and metal manufacturing facilities. Strongarm is also looking for a candidate that will adopt a culture of continuous improvement (incremental change, and blame processes, not people).

JOB DESCRIPTION:
As the Senior HR Generalist, you will be responsible for collaborating with employees, department managers, executives, and key stakeholders to fulfill stakeholder interests, operational and workforce needs. The Senior HR Generalist will critically analyze, define, and implement processes and initiatives within the HR Department to align workforce strategy and stakeholders’ interests with organizational objectives. You will also be expected to fulfill department functions such as recruitment, pay administration, leaves of absence, and the development and enforcement of company policies and practices. The Senior HR Generalist will support the Director of Human Resources from our sister company, Q-mation, in benefits enrollment and inquiries. The Senior HR Generalist will facilitate a culture of employee engagement. The Senior HR Generalist reports to the Vice President of Operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Leadership
- Partner with the Vice President of Operations to understand and execute the organization’s HR workforce and talent strategies.
- Facilitate the talent acquisition process; collaborate with department managers to understand and verify technical skills and competencies required to fill openings.
- Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train new HR Department members.
- Perform daily functions of the department.
- Provide guidance and support to department, management, and other staff when concerns arise that may require reasonable accommodations, investigations, and terminations.
- Partner with Vice President of Operations to foster a company culture of continuous improvement through employee policies, employee recognition, and employee experience initiatives.
- Analyze trends in compensation and benefits packages to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Assist the VPO in developing learning and development programs that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Conduct disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law.
- Revise management reviews for legal, operational, and cultural compliance.
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by leadership.
Operations
- Review accuracy and validity of documentation generated and collected by HR Department.
- Lead, manage, assist, and assess recruitment efforts.
- Develop, organize, and implement HR programs and initiatives such as employee handbook training, the employment performance review process, etc.
- Lead and train HR staff and other employees on the review process and other HR initiatives.
- Delegate duties of the programs and initiatives to respective project owners.
- Mediate employee conflict.
- Handle administrative tasks within ADP (job post, hire, onboard, role change, terminate, leave, PTO, data analytics, reports, etc.).
- Organize and maintain personnel records.
- Develop and analyze HR metrics.
- Other miscellaneous duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Post-secondary degree or certificate preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience in lieu of education accepted.
- 3 years’ experience in HR preferred, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP desired.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office 365.
- Database experience preferred.
- Experience using ADP preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
