Job Summary: The HR Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources and recruiting within the organization. This role will provide oversight for recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits as well as learning and development. The HR Director will play a crucial role in implementing HR strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Essential Job Functions/Duties:

  • Build and maintain influential relationships by being a business partner with senior management and acting as an employee advocate (e.g., employee relations, performance management, etc.).
  • Identify and create necessary policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state employment law, payroll and tax compliance, and other entities.
  • Plan, lead and implement organizational design, learning and development, performance management, and reward and recognition processes and initiatives to support business

objectives.

  • Maintain knowledge of best practices, regulatory changes, industry trends, and employment laws and regulations and ensure the company remains compliant in its practices.
  • Partner with the leadership team to develop and determine HR and company budget; monitor expenditures to ensure the budget is properly managed.
  • Analyze key HR metrics on a regular basis, summarize trends for management; make recommendations or take action as needed to improve efficiency and the employee experience.
  • Oversee employee engagement, development, internal investigations, and employee relations matters.
  • Serve as the SME on issues related to EEO, FMLA, ADA, performance, and termination guidelines.
  • Plan and direct key HR initiatives including HR system implementations, open enrollment, and change management.
  • Oversee the Talent Acquisition department to ensure the company attains its growth goals.
  • Responsible for management of the full employee lifecycle of the HR department, including establishing specific objectives/KPIs, interviewing and selection of new talent, enforcing policies and department processes, providing coaching, and supporting development needs.
  • Serve as a leader and member of company committees.
  • Other job duties as assigned and deemed appropriate by management.

Basic Qualifications (education and years of work experience in field/area):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management
  • Minimum of 10 years of broad HR generalist/business partner experience, including coaching and advising management, administering LOAs and reasonable accommodations, compensation, employee relations, and organization development OR
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 15 years of broad HR generalist/business partner experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience

Other Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities):

  • Minimum of 2 years of project management experience
  • Talent Acquisition experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in business dealings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to foster long-term, collaborative relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (i.e., earning trust and influencing) and a demonstrated ability to represent the Department in a professional manner both internally and externally
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to support a variety of different disciplines/assignments
