Job Brief

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to align organizational objectives with our employees and leadership team. This essential role will serve as a partner with leadership on HR matters, champion employee needs, and drive positive change within our diverse school community. We're looking for a knowledgeable and proactive individual with a background in HR administration, thought leadership, and experience working with a diverse culture.

Responsibilities

They will manage and be involved in all aspects of HR, including recruitment, HR policies & procedures, employee relations, training and development, performance management, and compliance.

  • Oversee all aspects of HR, including recruitment, policies & procedures, employee relations, training, performance management, and compliance.
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting processes, from job postings to onboarding, ensuring a seamless experience for new hires.
  • Provide HR Generalist support, assisting with employee inquiries, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
  • Manage employee benefits administration, including open enrollment and liaising with brokers for competitive benefit plans.
  • Collaborate with finance to facilitate payroll processes and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Input and manage all employee changes in compliance with regulations, utilizing HRIS systems effectively.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, morale, and retention.
  • Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the organization.
  • Serve as an employee advocate and change agent, offering guidance on HR matters to management and staff.
  • Stay updated on labor laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Design strategies for talent attraction, retention, and development.
  • Provide guidance on HR policy interpretation and lead policy changes as needed.
  • Coordinate school year-end offboarding and onboarding processes, including training and compliance needs.
  • Lead people processes such as performance management and talent development.
  • Support and train managers on employee-related matters.

Requirements and Skills

  • 5-7 years of professional experience in Human Resources
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices
  • Previous experience working with a diverse workforce
  • Knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems - BambooHR a plus
  • Experienced with ADA regulations and accommodations.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Degree in Business Administration or HR Administration preferred
  • Previous payroll processing and auditing experience preferred
  • Experience working for a non-profit company
  • Great interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
