Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team. The position’s main duties are to assist the Human Resources Manager in recruiting, orientation, employee benefits, insurance and coordinate company events. Candidates should have strong organization skills and must be detail oriented. On the job training will be provided. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager .
This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the recruitment and onboarding process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews
- Administer compliance programs such as E-verify and process background checks
- Maintain employee records and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries
- Assist with payroll and hours tracking
- Support performance management processes, including tracking performance reviews and providing assistance as needed
- Assist with talent management initiatives, such as employee development programs and succession planning
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including filing, data entry, and maintaining HR databases
- Coordinate FMLA requests and maintain appropriate documentation
- May coordinate and prepare agendas, e.g., scheduling, meetings, travel arrangement, conferences, and seminars.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience working in Human Resources or related field preferred
- Knowledge of human resources management principles and best practices
- Candidates are expected to have strong computer systems knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Assists in the arrangement of company functions, events, and activities
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Must work well under pressure.
