Job Summary:

The HR Assistant plays a vital role in providing administrative support to the Human Resources department, ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions within the organization. This position is responsible for a diverse range of tasks, including assisting with recruitment efforts, maintaining employee records, facilitating employee onboarding, and supporting various HR initiatives. The HR Assistant serves as a crucial point of contact for employees and applicants, embodying professionalism, confidentiality, and a customer-centric approach in all interactions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Greets employees and applicants.
  • Protects employee information by maintaining confidentiality.
  • Answers the telephone and relays messages.
  • Helps employees set up, reset, and navigate Alchemy/Paycom.
  • Performs clerical duties such as scanning, sorting, and organizing paperwork.
  • Recruiting through JazzHR and Paycom.
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating HR events, such as employee appreciation activities, training workshops, and team-building exercises.
  • Monitors and responds to employee inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinates and schedules interviews with candidates, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Assis in the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing paperwork, conduction orientations, and facilitating training sessions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be punctual and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills at a cross-functional level.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion in handling sensitive HR information.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish, English).
  • Experience in Paycom a plus.
