Employment Information

We are seeking an experienced HR Onboarding Specialist to join our clients team . As a key player in our HR department, you will be responsible for overseeing the onboarding process from start to finish, ensuring a seamless transition for new hires. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in counseling and performance management, with a focus on addressing behavioral issues during a standard 90-day probation period. Knowledge of FMLA, workers' compensation, and HR laws, especially in states like Pennsylvania and New York, is crucial for success in this role

Onboarding Responsibilities:


  • New Hire Communication:
    Initiate contact with new hires through phone calls and send informative "Welcome" emails, providing necessary login information.
  • Records Management: Ensure accurate maintenance of personnel records, adhering to Hospital/Medical requirements.
  • HR Files Processing: Collaborate with Human Resources to process personnel files, ensuring compliance with Hospital/Medical standards.


Counseling, Performance, and Corrective Actions:


  • Collaborative Approach:
    Work closely with Division Presidents, Program Directors, Administrative Managers, and Supervisors to address performance, behavioral, or interpersonal concerns.
  • Meeting Participation: Attend and actively participate in counseling meetings, typically conducted via conference calls. Document meeting proceedings, producing a comprehensive summary outlining identified issues, action items, and follow-up tasks. Include details on any disciplinary or official notices deemed necessary.


Weekly HR Support Rotation:


  • General HR Email Response:
    Provide timely responses to inquiries received via the general HR email, addressing staff questions on various employment-related matters.
  • Comprehensive Support: Handle queries related to Workers Compensation, Unemployment claims, Background and Drug Screening requests, Employment Verifications, and Non-Clinical staff credentialing.
  • Data Management: Regularly update shared departmental data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis of data for assigned locations, special projects, and policy development.
  • Adaptable Support: Undertake additional duties as assigned or whenever assistance is required.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of three years of HR experience is required. Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated history of longevity in their previous roles.
  • FMLA and Workers Comp: Knowledge of Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), workers' compensation, and leave of absence laws across different states is crucial.
  • HR Laws: Familiarity with HR laws
