This ground-breaking position exists to ensure public health and safety are maintained, and compliance with state laws, rules and regulations are met by cannabis businesses across Minnesota.
Working as a Hemp Derived Product Inspector you will:
These vacancies are posted at two different job classifications levels: State Program Administrator Senior and State Program Administrator Principal. The level at which the positions are filled will be based on the selected candidates' qualifications.
This is a hybrid telework position for residents of Minnesota with the telework schedule based on the business needs of the unit and supervisory discretion.
Position locations will be determined by the top candidates and will be based out of one of the following MDH district office locations: Duluth, Fergus Falls and Bemidji.
This position requires travel for in-person inspections up to 75% of the time.

State Program Administrator Senior:
Two (2) years of experience in a regulatory enforcement or similar position in the fields of public health horticulture, environmental health, law enforcement, law enforcement, or a related field. Experience to include:
State Program Administrator Principal:
Three years (3) of experience in a regulatory enforcement or similar position in the fields of public health, horticulture, environmental health, law enforcement, or a related field. Experience to include:
A degree in public health, public policy, public administration, horticulture, environmental health, law enforcement, or related field may count towards experience as follows:
A master's degree may substitute for 18 months of experience; a bachelor's degree may substitute for twelve (12) months of experience; and an associate degree may substitute for six (6) months of experience.
