Summary:

Our Haul Truck Operators efficiently load material from aggregate rock to our crushing equipment. They also play a crucial role in ensuring the yard is maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate Haul truck and other heavy machinery to transport raw materials, including sand, gravel, and cement, to the crusher and various locations at the Quarry..
  • Coordinate with the production team to supply materials according to the production schedule.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency. Report any malfunctions or needed repairs to the maintenance team promptly.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including wearing proper safety equipment, to minimize the risk of injury and accidents on site.
  • Keep the working area clean and organized to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist with inventory counts and ensure that material supplies are adequate for production needs.
  • Work closely with plant management to identify operational improvements and implement best practices.
  • Be willing to assist other team members and departments as needed, including performing manual labor tasks.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a haul truck operator or in a similar role operating heavy machinery, preferably in a quarry or similar industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in industrial or construction environments.
  • Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in heavy machinery operation is a plus.
  • Willingness to undergo SRM’s pre-employment screenings (see application instructions for additional information).
