Job Title: General Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager/Plant Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of construction methodologies, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality. The General Manager/Plant Manage will be responsible for coordinating with subcontractors, ensuring projects are completed on time, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities:
· Project Management: Manage all phases of construction projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, and quality control.
· Supervision: Oversee and direct construction/manufacturing teams to ensure work is being carried out according to plans and specifications.
· Schedule Management: Maintain project schedules, ensuring that milestones are met and projects are completed on time.
· Quality Assurance: Ensure that workmanship and materials meet or exceed project specifications and industry standards.
· Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel on-site, in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
· Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and other team members, to address issues, provide updates, and ensure project objectives are met.
· Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or obstacles that arise during construction, such as conflicts between departments, material shortages, or design discrepancies.
· Documentation: Keep accurate records of project progress, including daily reports, photos, and other documentation, to track productivity requirements.
· Team Development: Mentor and train personnel to improve skills and performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications:
· Degree in Construction Management or related job experience.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or supervision, preferably in commercial or industrial construction.
· Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials.
· Proven leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in Spanish is preferred
· NPCA Certification is preferred
