(We are hiring a part-time coach with flexibility; shifts are described at bottom.)

Benefits:

  • Your compensation is never commission-based so you're always paid for your time, whether training clients or not.
  • We provide and compensate you for the necessary training (a personal training background is helpful but not required)
  • Using leading-edge smart technology - the Tesla of workout equipment
  • Part-time employees receive sick leave (1 hour for every 87 worked) that can be carried over, up to 3 days per year.
  • All employees are eligible for bonuses.
  • All employees can train their spouses or significant others for free
  • Working for the largest - and fastest growing - personal training brand in the country

Who we are:

The Exercise Coach® founder spent years perfecting a workout process that is safe and helps people get the results that matter most with just two 20-minute workouts per week. The workouts are coach-led and powered by proprietary smart technology that remember each client's settings and workouts, enabling a safe and efficient point-of-failure workout tailored to their abilities. Many athletes, physicians and researchers believe that these short and highly effective workouts are the future of fitness.

The studios are professional and distraction-free, with only 1-4 clients in the studio at a time. Check out our website at www.exercisecoach.com. Because of our novel approach to training, the local Fox news station did a segment on us when we opened up: https://www.fox5dc.com/video/1028620.

Job Description and Details:

Our studio offers a sunny, casual, fun-but-professional environment using top-of-the-line proprietary training equipment. Each coach works with just one person at a time, or a small group of 2-4 people, guiding and motivating them as well as keeping sharp eyes for form, challenges and safety. The equipment keeps track of their progress over time so that you can work with them to achieve the results they're looking for.

In addition to training our clients, all employees share responsibility for communicating with clients, scheduling and leading free sessions to help prospects understand our program and, ideally, become members. We all do it all - and we never negotiate or pressure anyone into joining. The program pretty much sells itself.

Company atmosphere:

Happy employees is one of the metrics of success for this gym. We share feedback, flex as much as possible, build our clients and ourselves up, celebrate successes and otherwise work together to make this studio one where we all enjoy spending time.

Conversely, we want someone who enjoys working with people and making a difference in the lives of others because that's what we do!

Job Location:

The Exercise Coach® studio is located in Cleveland Park, half a block from the Metro (Red Line) and is surrounded by restaurants, bars, markets and shopping.

Important: We only have 2-hour parking all around us. You'll need to be able to metro, walk or ride.

Shifts:

We're in growth mode so are still figuring out where we need to add shifts, and we need help backfilling shifts, so are looking for someone with flexibility. For now, most shifts will be 4 hours and may include the following:

  • A split-shift on Fridays from 8-12pm and 3-7pm. Split shifts are paid an extra hour.
  • Tuesday and/or Thursday morning from 8am to 12pm
