Job Description:
The Firestop Quality Inspector is responsible for reviewing and auditing firestop reports during on-site inspections. The Firestop Quality Inspector will work closely with the Field Service Technicians to ensure the quality of reports meets our client’s expectations. The Firestop Quality Inspector will ensure the accuracy of all information documented and verify quality through before and after photos. The person in this role needs to be very detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills, and well versed with current technology. This position will be based out of our headquarters in Lenexa, Kansas.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Thoroughly review firestopping reports completed by Field Service Technicians.
· Ensure accuracy in all documentation that will be presented to the clients.
· Validate before and after photos match reported issues and repairs made.
· Maintain professional, timely, communication with Technicians and Operations Support.
· Any other duties assigned in support of overall operation of on-site inspections.
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
· 1+ year of firestop experience and/or construction knowledge.
· A thorough understanding of NFPA codes and standards.
· Knowledge and experience with Life Safety Plans (LSPs)/Blueprints.
· Great attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
· Self-starter with organizational, managerial, and leadership skills.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Calendar.
· Ability to make decisions in a timely manner using critical thinking.
· Demonstrate ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and staff.
· Ability to work under pressure and perform multifaceted projects in conjunction with daily activities.
