SPECIAL NOTES:
Four (4) years of Criminal Investigative experience is required. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience.
Preference will be given to applicants who are bilingual and willing to travel extensively.
Travel may require use of your personal owned vehicle. Occasional overnight travel for an extended period of time may be required.
This position will hire at $40,000.08 annually.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.
This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
The mission of the Division of Public Assistance Fraud is to aggressively identify and eliminate fraud, waste, and abuse to safeguard the integrity of taxpayer funded public assistance programs administered by the State of Florida.
The Financial Crimes Investigator I is an entry level position that supports this mission by conducting the following investigative activities under the direct supervision of an Investigations Manager.
Training:
The Financial Crimes Investigator I is an entry level position that will be in training status to ensure the incumbent acquires specific knowledge of investigative techniques; public assistance program policy, and Departmental procedures to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position. As part of that process, the incumbent is expected to:
