Major Responsibilities:
Generates and audits monthly financial and statistical reports, variance analysis data, system benchmarking, and other calculations and reports developed to support Accounting, Finance, and other users.
Prepares, communicates, and monitors operating and capital budgets.
Inputs and audits budget spreadsheets.
Responsibility for reporting from system may include General Ledger formatted downloads, Web-based budgets, Capital budget report extracts, Ad-hoc spreadsheets, Payroll, IDX Physician Practice Management System, and Mainframe operating budgets.
Serves as departmental backup for monthly statistical reporting: coordinates the implementation of all changes to the statistical gathering process between the department and IS.
Performs data entry functions as needed to assist in meeting departmental deadlines. Provides training and maintains documentation of data entry processes for all current financial planning systems.
Generates and audits periodic full time equivalent (FTE) data.
Coordinates the receipt of labor related data to initiate the annual operating budget process.
Responsible for all graphic presentation of financial and statistical data.
Typically requires 1 year of experience in finance and/or accounting.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Experience using various computers/software systems including Word, Windows based mainframe, database spreadsheets, and generating reports from various databases. The ability to learn new applications and instruct others on their use is needed.
Analytical and problem solving skills. Strong interpersonal skills needed to assess best practices for fulfilling information requirements and to conduct informal training.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Position may require travel which may result in exposure to road and weather hazards.
Exposed to normal office environment.
Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
