Job Summary:

About the Role & Team:

As part of the combined Disneyland Resort Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Revenue Management & Analytics (RM&A) consolidations team, this analyst will use technology to support financial planning processes and help drive business results for the Disneyland Resort!

The Analyst will also provide day-to-day financial support including revenue and cost trending analyses, causes of change, and development of senior executive level presentations.

Candidates will have strong communication, partnering, and analytical skills, such as excel modeling, Tableau, and SQL experience. The candidate will have a natural curiosity to understand the “why” behind business performance, take a proactive role in problem-solving and driving process improvements, be results oriented, be able to prioritize, and be a phenomenal teammate in a collaborative environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Support planning processes across key business cycles, including Annual Operating Plan, Long-Term Plan, Monthly Forecasts and Monthly/Quarterly Close results to Segment Planning and Financial Reporting partners

  • Participate in the preparation of comprehensive business reviews and updates to various executive-level audiences

  • Assist in and periodically lead analysis for various projects and results, such as revenue and cost trending analysis and operating income cause of change analysis

  • Drive efficiency through process improvements, including maintaining and crafting financial models, templates, and planning processes

  • Apply multiple systems and tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, Longview, SQL, and Tableau, to understand, review, and summarize operating performance

  • Work closely with Business Area Finance teams on various financial processes

  • Provide analytical and strategic support for Disneyland Resort Partners on an ad hoc basis

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Self-starter with strong intellectual curiosity

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proven experience with financial modeling and analysis

  • Proficiency with Excel, including basic knowledge of Power Query and VBA, and PowerPoint

  • Experience with basic data visualization techniques

  • Collaborative teammate who is able to work in a fast-paced team environment

  • Proven strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail

  • Ability to work and partner with individuals across the organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Finance / Accounting background

  • Understanding of financial processes and financial statements

  • Experience with SAP and Longview software

  • Experience with Power Query, VBA and/or other data transformation and automation tools

  • Experience with data management and visualization using tools such as SQL or Tableau

  • Ability to simplify complex issues and incorporate effective “storytelling” to engage and influence the audience

  • Knowledge of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts operations, business units, and product offerings

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Data Science, or other equivalent fields

The hiring range for this position in California is $84,600.00 to $103,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
