SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team. Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing financial data, produce error-free accounting reports for the CFO to present to the Jessie Trice Finance Committee and Board; Analyzing and summarize financial information to meet external reporting requirements; Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending; Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures; Provide input into department’s goal setting process; Assist with external audits and tax returns; Support month-end and year-end close process; Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls; Ensure compliance with GAAP principles; Liaise with our Accounting Manager and CFO to improve financial procedures; Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedules and with input from the rest of the accounting department; Conduct monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and general ledger maintenance; Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the Accounting Manager’s and CFO’s attention.

  • Provide status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, interpreting, and summarizing information and trends to create key performance indicators and forecast metrics.

DETAILS OF EDUCATION AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting ( CPA license is a plus).

Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Science in Accounting (MSA).

In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Familiarity with financial accounting statements and experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process

Required at least five years’ work experience in professional capacity in healthcare (pharmacy experience is a plus).

Must be technology savvy especially using Excel Spread Sheets and with computerized ledger systems, familiarity with SAGE 300 would be a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
