Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting, with specific proficiency in Unanet software. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing accurate and data-based information on company's profitability, solvency, stability, and liquidity. The role will involve analyzing financial data to help management make well informed decisions, writing reports, and monitoring financial movements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project set up in compliance with contractual terms, to include proper revenue recognition.
- Perform full cycle billing functions, including review of timesheet entries and expenses.
- Maintain a billing schedule to ensure timely invoicing.
- Review and validate purchase requisitions.
- Review and assess contract modifications.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to provide insight into the organization's operations and business plans, focusing on areas such as budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Utilize Unanet to its fullest capabilities for project accounting, resource planning, and financial reporting.
- Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives and business planning.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including variance analysis, cash flow analysis, and key financial metrics.
- Collaborate with project managers and department heads to compile financial data and ensure accurate representation of financial performance.
- Assist in the budgeting process and monitor budget variances, providing actionable insights to relevant stakeholders.
- Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems in Unanet.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis as required to support decision-making.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial analysis role.
- Proficiency in Unanet financial software, with a deep understanding of its features and capabilities for financial management.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, financial modeling, and analytical techniques.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for financial analysis and presentation purposes.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.
Desired Skills:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a plus.
- Experience in government contracting and familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
