Position Summary
As a Facilities Mechanical Engineer, you will work on projects that enable the heart of our clients' manufacturing. You and the other team members will work closely with client owners in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents for the installation of complex manufacturing tools. Responsibilities include design oversight for piping and ducting for equipment heating, cooling, exhaust, and process chemicals and gasses for extensive tools in some of the most complex, densely packed industrial facilities on the planet. The design may include retrofit of existing building systems to accommodate tool installation including engineering calculations, equipment and component sizing, selection, and specification, and support during construction and integration into the factory.

As the mechanical representative on a multi-discipline design team, you will work directly with other Jacobs design staff, client equipment owners, researchers, and equipment manufacturers of next generation and prototype tools to build utility requirement documents to allow the development of installation design packages. You may also provide technical training, quality check designs, and assist directly with the more complex portions of the design process. You may have PE stamping responsibility for the designs. You will interact directly with clients and contractors to assist with construction on site. If you're up for the challenge, we've been looking for someone just like you. Join our team and help us Client the foundation for human progress.

Your role keeps our company connected and we'll support you with what you need to be successful. Bring your creativity, ambitious spirit, and extreme attention to detail, and we'll help you grow, pursue, and fulfill what drives you – so we can deliver extraordinary solutions for a better tomorrow, together.
At Jacobs, we're partnering across the globe to create the best project outcomes by maximizing the design, digital technology, and support capabilities of our Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teammates.
