Position provides administrative/secretarial support to a senior investigator. Responds to questions/inquiries according to pre-established policy and procedure.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Organizes and coordinates on-site, off-site, and online research meetings with collaborators.
- Schedules and maintains appointment, lecture and meeting schedules.
- Maintains confidential administrative and correspondence files.
- Prepares correspondence, material for meetings and presentations, takes minutes and transcribes material as requested.
- Coordinates travel arrangements including lodging, visas, passports, expense reports, reimbursements and honoraria.
- Answers phone, takes messages and screens calls providing information in accordance with organizational policy.
- Replies to mail by drafting memos, letters, correspondence, etc.
- Assists with grant/report preparation and presentation.
- Assists secretarial staff during vacations/illnesses.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of general office equipment.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills that require dealing with a diverse population.
- Effective organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize work load.
- High school diploma or equivalent high school certification with two years college or secretarial training.
- Three to five years secretarial experience.

$20.76 - $32.21 / Hourly
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
