Position Overview

We are looking for an Estimator Supervisor to oversee the Quoting team and reduce the cycle time to a client for their product by providing rapid turn client prototypes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure people (physical and emotional), process, and machine shop safety at all times.
  • Address employees’ issues or grievances in an open and timely manner.
  • Identifying and sourcing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and Requests for Information (RFIs) that meet GSA’s client requirements/guidelines.
  • Manage the entire process from start to finish of complex RFQs- write content, manage the process, work across the organization to assimilate information, and adhere to tight deadlines
  • Alert the team and customers of out-of-stock materials, shipping delays, or extensions, and prep the internal team for customer responses.
  • Establish measurable metrics for timeline target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval of RFQs
  • Improve outcomes from RFQs by evaluating and revising process, approach and coordination to comply with ISO9001 standards
  • Write, revise and edit drafts including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization overview
  • Produce content related to the RFQ needs, including but not limited to documents, portfolios, tables of content, and visual presentations
  • Have timely and effective communications, in person, via email, and via the telephone with both the prospective client and the project engineering team on specific projects
  • Collaborate with the GSA’s shipping, engineering, and production teams to complete the RFQ with the best-known information at that time to ensure a proposed project can be delivered at specified quality, on time, and on budget
  • Continually assess and update new business content in response to changes in services and client feedback
  • Maintain integrity across time of proposal databases and proposal tracking tools

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a purchasing role or department
  • Experience in delivery setting
  • Solid mathematical skills
  • Proficient computer skills and expert knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
