Company Description: ACS Manufacturing is a state-of-the-art design build manufacturer of acoustical equipment enclosures, fuel tanks, turbine systems and skids. We have one of the largest facilities in the industry, nearly 300,000 square feet on 36 acres in Denison, Texas and has expanded its operation to 150,000 square feet facility in Abbeville, SC.

Job Summary: The Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for performing HR related duties on a professional level while working closely with the HR Manager and staff management. This position carries out the responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, supervisor/management training, assist with policy updates and implementation, affirmative action, employment law compliance and recruiting.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Assist in administering various human resource plans and procedures for all employees; assists in the development, updating and implementation of personnel policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints, grievances, and conflicts.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate actions
  • Supports employee related activities and processes to promote positive employee relations
  • Aids in the development of curriculum for managerial success through supervisor training, decisiveness, flexibility, sound business judgment, and highly developed personal, analytical and communication skills.
  • Identifies gaps in training programs and develops programs that meet the needs of management and employees. Conducts onsite training biweekly, monthly, semiannually, annually or as needed
  • Works with supervisors/managers on effective handling of retention, performance management, and engagement strategies
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • Assist in recruiting through online sources and job fairs, candidate selection, and on-boarding processes.
  • Assist in annual workforce data reporting
  • Handles sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Organizes and works independently on multiple assigned tasks/projects and completes assignments within specified deadlines.
  • Performs other related work as required or assigned.

  • Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, to a diverse audience.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources laws and practices.

Minimum Requirements/Experience:

  • Three years of human resource experience in employee relations, training and development, recruiting, workers compensation and conflict resolution
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook.
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check for employment.

Required Education:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or Business Administration is preferred
