Job Summary:
Clayton County Public Schools Department of Equity & Compliance is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Employee Relations (Personnel Review) Officer.
Our ideal candidate will possess and be responsible for the following:
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Business or related field required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in employee relations, human resources, labor relations, dispute management, law enforcement/governmental agency environment, preferably within a K-12 public school environment or public/government agency.
- Prior experience coordinating and conducting all aspects of investigations or administrative reviews of a confidential and/or sensitive nature within an organization, and making decisions and final recommendations which routinely affect the activities of others.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required for working with inter-organizational teams.
- Responsible for supervising multiple investigation functions with a high-level accountability for effective operation and results.
- Requires excellent analytical, written, verbal and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Investigates various instances of: misconduct, wrongdoing, illegal activities by employees, sexual harassment complaints, and material policy violation, etc.
- Provides leadership and oversight of the District’s employee relations and disciplinary review functions. Acts as a primary contact for District supervisors with relative to employee wrongdoing and misconduct issues.
- Conducts background investigations of applicants, contractors, volunteers and employees within established procedures.
- Represents District at hearing procedures and communicates with appropriate authorities regarding proceedings against employees as requested; acts as a liaison for the Clayton County School District with the Department of Family and Children Services.
- Disseminates and interprets federal laws, state Department of Education regulations, and District Board of Education administrative policies as related to compliance management issues.

Pay: $78,571.00 - $96,631.00 per year
