Position Summary: Provide assistance to the HR Department to facilitate internal company communications and employee engagement, thus improving the overall employee experience. The Employee Engagement Specialist focuses on nurturing employee satisfaction and improving new hire recruitment efforts while keeping BR’s mission and vision in mind. The Employee Engagement Specialist works closely with department leaders to identify current and future employee needs to proactively find solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and implement communications programs and strategy, that effectively describe and promote the organization, including website management, content development, articles, and videos
  • Build connections with outside organizations to expand our recruiting efforts
  • Attend career fairs and other recruiting events
  • Assist with BR Mentor Program
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation
  • Organize and facilitate employee Appreciation / Teambuilding / Volunteering
  • Manage and maintain branding and presence on BR social media platforms on a regular basis
  • Developing and executing initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture
  • Organizing events and activities that promote a sense of community among staff

Required Experience/Education:

  • Bachelors’ degree in HR, Communications, Marketing, or closely related field, preferred
  • Progressive HR experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong drive to self-motivate and handle multiple priorities
  • Understanding of importance of branding, consistency, creativity, and innovation
  • Experience supporting internal and external communications
  • Construction industry knowledge a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in digital/ social media creation and presence
