The Foodbank of Southern California is a major metropolitan Foodbank located in Long Beach, California. The Foodbank distributes an average of 40 million pounds of food per year to 850,000 individuals throughout Los Angeles County. Position Overview:

The Donor Database Manager & Accounting Clerk is a dual position managing the Foodbank’s growing donor database and performing routine accounting duties related to overall operations. The Foodbank is looking for an experienced CRM database manager, most ideally with Neon One or experience with Salesforce or other customer relationship management software.

Job Responsibilities

Donor Database Manager

· Ensure effective and accurate operation of Food Bank of Southern California Neon One database.

· Oversee end-to-end gift processing, from gift entry to acknowledgment, for all revenue from individual donors, corporations, foundations, and intermediary organizations such as Benevity.

· Review and record gifts, assign appropriate codes, ensure that gifts are accurately tied to appropriate proposals/solicitations, handle donor inquiries about gifts and acknowledgments.

· Oversee acknowledgment process, including generating acknowledgment/tax letters, ensuring the accuracy of acknowledgment/tax receipt letters, and timely distribution.

· Oversee integration of Constant Contact (e-mail marketing), Cervis (volunteer management), and other complementary applications.

· Run all queries, reports, exports and mail merges; manage lists for e-mail, direct mail, and major events.

· Lead direct mail and e-mail solicitation project management, from list development to mailing.

· Provide training for new database users on the use of the software, including data entry policies and processes, queries, dashboards, reports and procedures

· Responsible for ongoing database maintenance, including updates and clean-up.

· Conduct a monthly reconciliation review with Finance to ensure data integrity and accuracy

· Identify giving trends. Stay current on all Neon One updates, attending Neon One Zoom Training sessions.

· Other duties as assigned.

Accounting Clerk

· Handle accounts payable, review invoices, process check requests using chart of accounts.

· Perform the day-to-day processing of accounts payable transactions.

· Process payroll notices, expense reports, and review activity for completeness and accuracy.

· Serve as back-up for account receivable postings, make bank cash and check deposits.

· Track vendor insurance and W-9 information.

· Process inventory summary reports; prepare analysis of accounts and reconciliation.

· Reconcile monthly inventory data with other in-house software systems.

· Process TEFAP claims, including purchase requests, while ensuring compliance.

· Communicate and respond to internal and external requests for accounting information.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Acceptance and commitment to the Foodbank of Southern California’s values, mission, and vision.

· 2 or more years of CRM or database management required.

· NEON ONE experience a plus.

· Experience working for non-profit organization.

· Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

· Ability to present information clearly and accurately.

· Strong Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills a must.

· Highly organized with ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to maintain discreet while handling confidential company and agency partner information.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and interact with various levels of partners, vendors and organizational staff.

· Maintain consistent, high-quality work performance during high volumes of gift activity.

· Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
