We seek an experienced supply chain and logistics professional to be officed in our KCMO facility. This person will direct our raw material and equipment purchasing functions consisting of two purchasing agents, assuring that our product sales forecasts and work orders are facilitated with raw materials, secured efficiently and timely and at the lowest possible cost. They will manage raw material inventory levels and closely monitor finished goods inventories. They will also be personally responsible for negotiating raw material supply contracts with our major suppliers, and assuring those agreements are executed per our needs and expectations.
Salary for this position is $80k - $95k, depending upon experience.
This person will manage our inbound and outbound logistics programs, wherein our raw materials are delivered to our two plants, and our finished goods are delivered to our end customers. We utilize a national logistics company to schedule our truckload, LTL and small parcel delivery shipments.
This person will report to the CFO, with a dotted line responsibility to the VP of Operations in KC and NY. This position will be a director level position with associated authorities and will work collaboratively with top management. This position will be expected to travel (2 trips per quarter) to the NY plant, trade shows and related activities. This position will office in our KC offices, infrequently working from home.

Qualifications include:
A college degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a similar field.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of logistics, procurement & warehousing.
Experience with working with or in top management
Keen communicator and negotiator
Competent and confident with making hard or unpopular decisions
5+ years in supply chain management
Able to multi-task, yet successfully complete projects at a high rate
Above average comfort and skills with analytics and numbers
Above average skills with Excel
