The Role:

Entegris is seeking a dynamic leader to fill the role of Director, Direct Procurement supporting over $800M+ in spend covering the categories of chemicals, mechanical fabrication, resin, plastic fabrication, polymers, packaging, and contract manufacturing. The position will ideally be based in Billerica, Massachusetts.

The ideal candidate will have the expertise to shape the global sourcing strategy in collaboration with Materials Quality Engineering, BU leadership, R&D, and Operations. This candidate will enable a high performing global supply base and drive total cost decisions in a growth business while ensuring supply.

This high-profile position will enable Entegris’ global supply chain and business objectives to be achieved, while satisfying some of the world’s largest and most demanding semiconductor and life sciences customers.

In this role you will:

  • ​​Develop and execute advanced negotiation strategies, including structuring and negotiating complex contractual agreements;
  • Right size the supply base for each category through alternate sourcing, insourcing or consolidation;
  • Proactively evaluate supply risks and develop business continuity plans;
  • Lead a team of global category managers for direct material, supporting Divisions and plants in delivering savings and ensuring effective operations;​
  • Lead a cross-functional effort to reduce lead times, cost, improve quality and reduce financial exposure;​
  • Guide the team in development of multi-year sourcing strategies;
  • Lead cross-functional supplier qualification and sourcing activities for global categories;​
  • Strategic planning for contract manufacturing sources and implement improvements that enhance customer satisfaction and accelerate supply chain;
  • Use data, statistics, industry benchmarking, and business experiences to make recommendations that optimize the supply chain and strategy and negotiate supplier related contracts​;
  • Analyze and deliver strategic communication to suppliers about performance and expectations while developing corrective action plans;​
  • Align supplier selection, agreements, processes to meet cost-saving goals; ​
  • Manage suppliers’ effectiveness and productivity by measuring supplier performance and success against agreed upon metrics, KPIs, and SLAs;​
  • Prepares and presents executive summaries about strategy, diversity, cost-reduction, budgets, performance, innovations, bid, or RFX awards to senior leadership team, and stakeholders;​
  • Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
  • Engage early with R&D on new product development to enable a robust and scalable supply chain
  • Develop standards, guidelines, and policy compliance requirements at a category level;
  • Travel globally to supplier, business, and customer sites

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree at a minimum, with an advanced technical and/or business degree preferred;
  • 15+ years of experience leading a world class organization delivering value added capabilities and accelerated results;
  • Demonstrated track record of developing and leading teams;
  • Direct knowledge of the raw materials categories, with technical expertise to enable new solutions;
  • Outstanding collaboration skills, including managing across functions and companies with the objective to achieve optimal results;
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage suppliers' senior management, build relationships and drive suppliers to improve their performance;
  • Strategic negotiation skills leading to continued cost reductions which support product margins;
  • Experience in supplier assessment, ranking, supply chain health, sustainability and risk mitigation;
