This role involves leading the design and development of electrical switches and actuators.
- Design and develop components and related structures.
- Develop functional objectives to meet project performance targets.
- Manage component development aspects (performance, cost, mass, timing, manufacturability).
- Drive the development of electrical switch and actuator requirements.
- Create innovative solutions for various switches and actuators.
- Lead Tier 1 supplier interactions.
- Develop requirements for electrical switches/actuators (interfaces, diagnostics, fault detection).
- Document test plans for switches and actuators.
- Manage component Part Numbers in Product Lifecycle Management system.
- Conduct DFMEA reviews for risk identification and control logic improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for hardware design review.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices.
- Apply LEAN Engineering methodologies.
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited or equivalent program is preferred.
- 5+ years relevant experience.
- Comfortable working with low voltage and high voltage systems.
- Low voltage components such as circuit breakers, relays, wiring, etc.
- High voltage components such as DCDC, motor and inverter, battery, and on-board charger, etc.
- Experience with harness development tools such as Capital and Zuken
- Knowledge of CAN, LIN, Ethernet, LVDS, and A2B protocol physical topology requirements
- 8D, five whys, and fishbone process to diagnose complex issues.
- PPAP experience developing and creating Design records, FMEA’s, Control Plans, etc
- Industry standards such as FMVSSS, NHTSA, DOT, USCAR, SAE, NEC, etc.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
