WHO WE ARE
:


Group14’s Major Projects team is tasked with taking the company’s strategic development objectives and making them a reality. Comprised of individuals with varied technical, construction and project management backgrounds, the Major Projects team works with all facets of the organization to define, execute and manage scope, schedule and budget for the company’s largest, most complicated and critical projects.


The Deputy Project Manager plays a crucial role in supporting and assisting the Project Manager in the planning, execution, and successful completion of major development projects. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience and grow their career in project management in a dynamic environment.


WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
:


Project Planning and Coordination
:

  • Assist in the development of comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and team members to define project objectives, scope, and requirements.
  • Help create and maintain project schedules, tracking milestones and deadlines.


Resource Allocation
:

  • Assist in resource management, including the coordination of project teams, subcontractors, and equipment.
  • Ensure necessary materials and resources are available and allocated efficiently.


Budget Monitoring
:

  • Support the Project Manager in preparing and tracking project budgets.
  • Keep an eye on project expenses and alert the Project Manager to any cost overruns or savings opportunities.


Quality Assurance
:

  • Participate in quality control processes to ensure work meets established standards and specifications.
  • Assist in regular inspections and reporting non-compliance issues.


Communication
:

  • Act as a point of contact for project stakeholders, team members, and clients.
  • Assist in providing project updates, reports, and progress reviews.


Documentation and Reporting
:

  • Maintain organized project records, including documentation, change orders, and RFIs (Requests for Information).
  • Help create and distribute project progress reports and documentation.


Problem Solving
:

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager in identifying and resolving project issues and challenges.
  • Assist in making decisions related to project changes and adapting to unexpected situations.


Regulatory Compliance
:

  • Ensure all project activities adhere to relevant regulations and standards.
  • Assist in obtaining necessary permits and licenses.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
:


  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • At least 5 years’ previous experience in a task management or a technical leadership related role is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness to travel to project locations both within and outside of the US.


OTHER QUALITIES WE’D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE
:


  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is a plus.
  • Experience with project scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.)
  • Experience with Project Management Information Systems (PMISs, e.g., Kahua, PM Web, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented and analytical mindset.

The annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000. All positions come with a company bonus and stock options. The actual base pay offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the position is located.
