Job Summary
B&A is looking for a DBA EBS Applications Specialist to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. As a DBA EBS Applications Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) applications, with a specific focus on the Projects modules for Planning and Control, Portfolio Analysis, Costing, and Contracts. You will be responsible for maintaining the stability, performance, and security of the EBS environment, ensuring that it meets the needs of our business and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and administer the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environment, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of EBS applications and databases, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions as needed.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of EBS data, implementing access controls, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, design, and implement changes and enhancements to the EBS environment.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and team members on EBS applications and databases.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and database administration and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Required Skills
  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator (DBA), with a focus on Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) applications.
  • Strong proficiency in Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS Projects modules for Planning and Control, Portfolio Analysis, Costing, and Contracts.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
Desired Skills
  • Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) certification(s).
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization of EBS applications and databases.
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures for Oracle databases.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as SQL, PL/SQL, or Shell scripting.
  • Experience with implementing and managing Oracle EBS integrations with other enterprise systems.
Security Clearance
  • Must be able to pass a NACL background investigation
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required
