Description:

Markon is actively seeking multiple levels of IT Consultants to support our customer’s FACIT Team. The team provides technical and program management support for the strategic development, planning, and implementation of the customers automation roadmap and requirements as it relates to the customers processes, best practices, and technology. Our technical and management expertise is combined with the knowledge of facilities and logistics management for the governance of facilities projects and systems application needs/requirements. The technical and program management support will also improve the level of efficiency and effectiveness with the customer systems capabilities by delivering industry best practices and standard business processes.

We are seeking a candidate who is passionate and a creative problem solver who thrives on being customer service oriented. This is an outstanding opportunity to leverage your strong technical skills and experience to help our customer succeed in a new field of support. Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and maintaining new technical solutions.
  • Enhancing existing applications by integrating new technology components and capabilities.
  • Assisting the customer in understanding and evaluating new technologies with respect to their current and future needs.



Job Requirements:
  • Active TS/SCI FS Poly clearance
  • Bachelor's of Science in a related field and 5+ years of experience as a DBA/DBE performing database administration, engineering, or design in support of system engineering, software development, or related activities (12 years of experience if no degree)
  • Experience as a Systems Administrator/Systems Engineer performing administration, engineering, or design in support of system engineering, software development, or related activities.
  • Experience with any of the following technologies and applications:
  • MS SQL Server
  • PostgreSQL
  • MySQL
  • Oracle DB
  • AWS Aurora, RDS 1 of 3
  • ArcGIS
  • RESTful web services
Experience with any of the following a plus:
  • Java/Javascript
  • HTML/CSS
  • SharePoint
  • Powershell
  • Power BI
  • Tableau
  • Docker
  • Atlassian suite (Jira, etc.)
  • Cloud-based platforms
Ability to work in both Windows and Linux environments a strong plus. Must be able to work in a flexible/fluid environment. Excellent at multi-tasking. Superb organizational skills. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communicate skills
