A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking a Database Manager to join our team in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. This position will provision, install, configure, monitor and maintain various database systems.
Essential Job Duties:
- Perform ongoing database performance tuning, hardware and software upgrades and resource optimization as required.
- Develop and manage Linux shell scripts to support application software testing and administration.
- Attend system design reviews, technical interchange meetings and any other meetings as requested to support program and team.
- Participate in system test and key site test activities as a tester.
- Minimum 10 years of experience developing, managing, troubleshooting and maintaining PostgreSQL databases.
- Proficient in navigating Windows and Unix/Linux Operating Systems.
- Familiarity with database management best practices.
- Must be willing to travel. On call 24x7 for site support.
- Full-time position, standard work hours, no specified job duration.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required:
- Able to debug database issues in Linux and Windows environments.
- Knowledge of database design and theories.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is required.
- Upon conditional offer of employment candidates will be subject to a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain Government clearance.
- Verification of past employment, verification of education and references are also required.
Preferred:
- Familiarity of NAS Technical Operations.
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch or NOSQL database.
- Deep understanding of database optimization best practices.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience OR
- Master's degree with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.
- May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
