NATECH is recruiting for a Database Management Specialist to support the FAA National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) program. This is an exciting opportunity for talented individuals to contribute to the transformation of the Nation’s aviation system in which air traffic will move safely, swiftly, efficiently, and seamlessly around the globe.
The Database Management Specialist is responsible for performing tasks relating to Database Management System (DBMS) applications, including definition, design, structure, documentation, upgrades, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and protection. Works independently with minimal supervision. Provides expertise in database security, requirements, analysis, design, design reviews, development, software testing, integration, installation, and maintenance of complex computer systems. Experience with database administration of NAS databases which may include but not limited PostgreSQL, Oracle, Elasticsearch. Provides expertise in the development and improvement of the database functionality, monitoring and performance. Must be comfortable navigating within Windows and Unix/Linux skills operating systems. May need to work with specialists from other disciplines such as hardware, software, logistic support, and testing to produce fully integrated and responsive components and systems. Interprets and analyzes complex database data to develop technical documentation, system diagrams, and presentation materials.
Must be willing to travel and be on call 24x7 for site support.
