About the Role

Kitsap Credit Union is hiring a full-time salaried Database Analyst I to work hybrid out of our Harborside Corporate office in beautiful downtown Bremerton, WA. This position is responsible for collecting and analyzing data. They will monitor and maintain the quality of data collected in the KCU data warehouse. The Data Analyst I is also responsible for the analytical techniques used in collecting, preparing and cleaning data before or after it is collected in a database.

Salary Range: $67,728 - $97,703.99 depending on experience

Bonus Target: 8% potential incentive of base pay

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM

What you will do

  • Supports and maintains database and data management processes within the Credit Union environment.
  • Develops and maintains documented procedures for operational projects, research and report generation. Keeps procedures current and recommends changes to management.
  • Facilitates the addition of new data sources and interfaces, and provides guidance on inputting and extracting data.
  • Develops, organizes, and sustains best practices to ensure the security and integrity of all data.
  • Revises and streamlines data flow, data quality, and data delivery to improve data accuracy, viability and value to help drive a data culture.
  • Assists in the creation of report tools to assist business units to consistently measure organizational efficiency, performance, and enable decision-making.
  • Act as primary point of contact for financial, demographic and usage reporting regarding the KCU member base for internal departments.
  • Develops technical reports, memoranda, and instructional manuals as documentation of program development.
  • Works with end users to define and document requirements and to implement database structures for applications and reports.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot analytics software and derive key insights based off of tableau visualization and data analysis.
  • Your responsibilities also include helping to debug system issues and working with end users to implement updates and train them on how to use Tableau analytics tools and visualizations.
  • Deep research and develop visualizations to highlight insights and make suggestions on how to improve efficiency or understand patterns in underlying data collected by a business or organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, or an equivalent of experience in programming and data analytics
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft related enterprise and Office software
  • 1 year experience in SQL database development required (including Relational Databases, SQL Server Security, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS and SQL queries language)
  • Familiarity with Tableau Cloud
  • Proven ability to present ideas and concepts to users of all technical levels
